How to Improve the Reception on an iPhone 3G

Do you experience poor iPhone reception in your home or office?  This article will show you how to improve the reception on the new Apple iPhone 3G. - no hacking or hardware changed required!

Steps

  1. Turn on iPhone and check current signal strength.
  2. Go to "Settings".
  3. Tap on "General".
  4. Tap on "Network".
  5. Under Enable 3G, slide it to "OFF" setting.
  6. Go back to home screen and wait for 2 minutes.
  7. Check that the signal has improved.

Tips

  • Great for battery life.
  • You can easily revert back and enable 3G.
  • Don't cover the bottom portion of the phone with your hand when holding it.

Warnings

  • 3G will be turned off.
  • Only use if you do not required the GPS and 3G surfing speeds
