I pondered the thought of getting the Galaxy S5 or the Note III and in the end picked the Galaxy S5.  Why you ask?  Well…one is that the Galaxy S5 is a tad bit smaller and I have LOVED this phone since I started playing with my phone.  Let me tell you, the phone is sleek, fast and beautiful. What makes the phone so awesome?  Well first, the style is great, thin, large – but not too large- and smooth running.  The device loads pages quickly and seamlessly.  It has great features (some I did not think I would use) such as the fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and the Samsung account functions.   The display is 5.1 inches with 1080p HD AMOLED display that boasts an “extremely high pixel density screen.  The phone is water-resistant, dust-resistant, NFC and a 16 MP high-resolution camera.  (http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-Galaxy-S5_id8202).   The camera has autofocus, phase detection autofocus, touch to focus as well as manual focus and high dynamic mode (HDR) as well as image stabilization.  The pictures are great as well as the “beauty” feature.  I use my camera at work all the time and love the picture quality.  (http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-Galaxy-S5_id8202)   A great part about this phone is that with the 3.0 USB and the 2 AMP block, my phone is fully charged from less than 3% to 100% within two hours; that is the fastest charging ever and the battery lasts about a day and a half with a lot of usage (not that matters with a 2 hour charge time).   (http://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-galaxy-s5/specs/)   Another addition to the device that no one talks about is the security features.  You can sign up for a Samsung account and then setup the phone to be “locked” (like iCloud).  Basically, the only way to use the device- even factory reset, is to re-sign into your Samsung account.  You can find your phone, lock it down and send a text, allow the phone to dial one number- a number you choose- by yourself, erase the device as well as make it ring as loud as possible, no matter the status of the sound.  These features make this phone not worth stealing!  It can’t be used or sold.   The phone has an Easy Mode.  This mode has large icons and allows you to place favorite apps, people and other important information right at your fingertips.  This is great for older people who like the ease of an iPhone but wants a bigger screen. This phone is beautiful with some great features and worth the money.  It takes less than 2 hours to charge from less than 5% and the battery lasts anywhere from the usually 8-10 hours to well over 36 hours- depending on use and settings.  If you are in the market for a new Android- then this is the device for you!   With the improvements made to the Galaxy line-up,  I cannot wait for the next device to come out, until then, I will continue to use my Galaxy S5 because I love this phone and its features!
