It is funny how when the latest and great devices come out, we turn our attention to all the rumors about the newest up and coming smartphones. The release of the LG G Flex 2 has brought LG G Flex 3 rumors to the table. It looks like the LG G Flex 3 will be released in February of 2016- that is not that far away. The LG G Flex 3 will be released in Korea first since that is where LG is from and will hit the rest of the markets by the end of February. What are the rumors saying? Lets look and see…..
It seems that the LG G Flex 3 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4 GB of RAM. The LG G Flex is also rumored to have a six-inch screen with a 2K resolution and a body made of metal.
Other rumors stated that the LG G Flex 3 may have 32 GB of internal storage with an expandable memory option. Also, the LG G Flex 3 should feature a 20.7 MP rear-facing camera along side an eight MP front-facing camera.
Other leaked information states that the LG G Flex 3 will feature a finger print scanner that has become a popular item on recent smartphones. Also, the LG G Flex 3 is rumored to keep the buttons on the back of the smartphone. The price for the LG G Flex 3 increases about $200 from its predecessors but you will not know anything definitive until closer to the release of the LG G Flex 3.
While LG gives the LG G Flex a decent upgrade. The upgrade in the chipset will speed up the device- not too much of an increase but the difference will be noticeable. The biggest difference will be in the camera and the all-metal body. I am unsure how the curved LG G Flex 3 will handle the curve and the flexibility that came with the previous models, but I bet the device will look great in metal. Another great addition to the device is the possible 20.7 MP camera. With the increased picture quality of smartphone cameras, the MP on this camera will allow you to enlarge pictures from your phone – as large as 11x14 with NO PROBLEM. All those pictures that you could not blow up from your smartphone, is a thing of the past with the increase MP of the phone. This goes for the front-facing camera as well. At 8 MP, you will be able to take good quality pictures, print and frame the pictures as needed.
The downside to the device is its size. The LG G Flex 3 will be a LARGE smartphone- its predecessors are extremely large as well. The LG G Flex and the LG G Flex 2 tend to be “bulky” is smaller hands. Another downside to the LG G Flex 3 is the current rumored price tag of $700. Is the LG G Flex really going to be worth such a hefty price or will this leave LG with a bad taste in their mouth? We will not find out until right before the release, but until then reviewing all the rumors and exploring the possible details is so much fun (ya sorry, I am a nerd…)
